Watching Lana Turner in Madame X. Talk about your glamour girls; she was so old school Hollywood.
Years back I read everything available about yesteryear’s Queens of the Screen. Turner’s real life was as colorful as her cinematic one. Her teen-age daughter murdered Lana’s abusive mobster boyfriend.
I loved Lana, but she was not my #1 favorite. My top spot was shared by Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.
Just about every movie those two made is on my greats list.
My clothes horse days are far behind me; my need for comfort too great. But I do love how each scene brings another perfectly put together ensemble. Hats, gloves, heels, bags, accessories to die for. **sigh
Ah the trial is about to start. Gotta get out a hankie for this.
Ciao for now.
