Hi. Hope you’re all well. I’m settling down after an unsettling night. Juan’s been a diabetic for quite a number of years, and last night for the first time ever, his sugar level dropped enough to give him a real case of the shakes. We got it under control with fruit juice, but was it ever scary. My daughter Josie stayed on the phone with me during and after the whole episode.
I’m staying close to home base today just in case. Juan says I’m worrying too much, but is there any such thing in case like this?
My morning was spent cleaning up the place just to calm and center myself. Now I’m at the table with some green tea and my notebook – the kind with paper pages
The TV is on without sound because he’s having a nap. One of those losing weight reality shows is on. A group of random quite overweight women are all working towards their goals together. Each has her own reason for wanting to shed the pounds. One is doing for the kids, one lost her guy, another wants to finally get a guy. They are going to be working together for a few months.
I have always been of the opinion that quality guys are gettable no matter what your weight. Though I can’t argue that just about everything is easier for the svelte.
Wouldn’t you know it? They’re running Olive Garden commercials during a show like this?
Ok we’re at the end of the show. Not bad. The four of them lost a group total of 230 pounds. The one thing I can not figure out about these shows is how they get the participants to pose in sports bras and biker shorts. There’s not enough swag in the Universe to get me to show my thighs and belly on the air.
Time for some freewriting, and then maybe some short-term goal setting.
And what are you all up to this afternoon?
You’re in my thoughts. Lows are scary!
