On the subway heading home. Had a quiet little lunch all by lonesome. Called Double H for a nice long chat. If I could choose anyone in the world to be my Mom it would be her. I’m allowed to say that because I lost my own mother very young. Double H is the mother of a dear old friend from long ago and faraway.
After lunch I bopped on over to KMart for a few things. Juan has lost a hundred pounds, so he needs everything. But we’re not investing too much in clothes until we see how much he gains back over the next few weeks. Until then the big red K is a quick and economical fix.
I was up early this morning – 6am. I went down to the lobby with my coffee to sit and write at a little table in the corner. I just wrote and wrote about all the things that need to be done before Juan goes to MA to be with the kids. After a couple of hours I went upstairs, and actually started getting some of it done.
We’ve set aside all of a tomorrow for various appointments medical and otherwise. And of course, I’ll be posting from various waiting rooms all over Manhattan.
Here’s some sidewalk art for you.
And a little lady with a big racket.
Uh oh here’s my stop.
Seriously I do.
