Retirement Day One

Juan and I are in the waiting room at Penn Station. We are more than a bit early for the 10:03, but that’s how we roll.

His first official day of retirement, and his health is the best it’s been in years. All tests came back normal – yay!

He’s going to be busy for the next few months helping our son-in-law with the church he and our daughter started on Cape Cod.

This is the first time in 30 years that we will be apart more than a couple of weeks.  And of course, we have spent a lot of time together during the last two months of his recuperation. He got pretty spoiled too. Breakfast in bed every day, all his favorite legal foods, and anything else he wanted.

During the time he is away I will catch up on my photostrolling, write a bit, see a couple of plays, organize the apartment, and get ready for haunted house season.

Ok only an hour left to talk to my old guy. Catch you later.
