My most thorough promenade to date; disovered several scenes and rooms I had missed the first two times. Going for a fourth time before January. If you go I recommend going late, and hanging out in the speakeasy lounge both before and after.
Booked tickets for 12/18 – my first Murder Mystery Dinner – one of my birthday wishes. I’m bound and determined to find out whodunnit.
This is where I’ll be this coming Sunday night. I can hear you all thinking: She just can’t get enough of the scary stuff can she? Uh, nope she can’t.
Back again soon.
Much bloglove to all
This Sunday I took a photostroll between two of my favorite parks: Madison Square & Union Square.
I took the subway down to West 23rd Street, and fortified myself with lunch at Chock full o’ Nuts. I hadn’t been to one in years. The classic date nut bread with cream cheese still as yummy.
After lunch I passed a church where a special ceremony had been held for French War Veterans.
Then it was on to Madison Square Park where there’s always a cool public art project.
A long line at the Shake Shack
the park surveillance team is always on duty
This amazing statue of Andy Warhol was waiting for me near Union Square.
As usual there was lots of artwork on display around the park.
A bagpiper reminded me of me Irish roots.
Just looking at this mandala made me feel peaceful within.
Thanks for joining me.
Namaste
Just had my first cupcake from Carousel, and I couldn’t recommend them more. My friend surprised me with a quartet. Here’s a pic of two of them – lol. Fortunately I remembered the camera before we inhaled them all.
The other two were Carrot & Classic Vanilla. The above are a Coconut Snowball & Oreo.
Speaking of the camera I was able to get a photostroll in this Sunday. I posted a few of the Woytuk sculptures on Broadway. This morning I got a couple shots of the Raven on Water Can near 96th & Broadway. He’s today Momentile.
New York had a snowstorm and a half Saturday, but by Sunday afternoon it was bright and sunny. The weathergal said it would be in the 60′s this Saturday. Welcome to New York. If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minutes – it’ll change!
While I was walking I caught some photos of random balloons. I love random balloons. It was quite breezy, but my camera caught these balloons at the moment they were all in a row.
Til later.
The tickets are tucked safely in my bag.
Wearing the right footwear – it’s going to be dark & there will be stairs.
I’m expecting and hoping for the unexpected.
This is my second year going. You can check out last year’s review here.
Tomorrow night Blood Manor & Sunday The Creep Show at the Freak Show.
The season to be frightened is well underway.
