The doctors gave my husband a few days to visit our daughter and son-in-law, before he begins a very doctor intensive 6 weeks or so.

He is a fighter by nature, and I just know he will beat this.

I can already feel your positive energy coming my way.

And I thank you.

And how are all of you?

I hardly had an unoccupied moment today.  It’s a miracle that I got a moment to post my Momentile, and post a comment or two to pals at Facebook.  But now I’m heading home, and it feels so really good.

The spouse is having a colonoscopy tomorrow.  The medical powers that be need to see if he’s healed properly.  His total weight loss is 80 pounds, and he’s off 6 of the 10 meds he had been taking for more than a few years. 

The whole process from check-in to the old heave ho is three hours or so.  I’m trying to keep a cheery front, but any type of medical test scares the bejeezus out of me.  And while I know he will be just fine; did you hear me God(dess)?  I am still quite nervous.

Last night I watched the two hour last episode of Desperate Housewives.  The girls and I had come a long way together, and yes I cried.

Bree escaped jail thanks to Karen McCluskey who stepped forward and confessed to the murder. Karen was in the final stages of cancer, and left this life with a smile on her face, and Johnny Mathis for background.

Susan’s daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, after her water broke all over Renee’s wedding gown and shoes.  She and Gabby borrowed a new dress and shoes on the way to the church.

Lynn and Tom got back together.  And we all wanted that.

Susan sold her house to a young woman that seemed that coincidentally looked more than a bit like her.  That woman was carrying a box.  It was about the size one would use for jewelry.  There was a secret inside.

Maybe I’m just being hopeful.
But at the end of the show we find out how each of the ladies ends up living happily ever after.  That more or less makes a continuation of their stories unnecessary.  We also learn that all the women end up leaving Wisteria Lane.  That means there’s some homes available for a whole new set of wives.

My whole day has been about not going or doing anything particular at all.  I would love to say that I slept in, but that just doesn’t happen anymore.  It would be akin to a religious experience to be sleep deeply for 10-12 hours. 

So far I have wandered about the Upper West Side.  I stopped for some lunch up on Columbus Avenue.  Guess you would call it an artisan pizza.  Then I wandered over to Roosevelt Park, and sat on a bench yakking on my cell phone. 
It started to rain lightly, so I hurried over to Barnes & Noble’s cafe, where I talked on my cell phone some more.

I’m half-thinking about seeing a movie.  But first I want to free-write for a while.  There is much that needs to be released.

Back again. I actually worked on some notes for my podcast project. A few years back Blogger had an audio blogging feature, and I used it until they stopped offering it. Then I went to Gabcast, and they shut down without notice or refunds – thank you very much. But I am pretty confident in the new service I have chosen. Right now I am going through all their tutorials, because I don’t want to go live and fall on my microphone lol.

Okay, now I am definitely off to free-write.

Me in my cool 3D glasses.  We saw The Avengers instead of Dark Shadows. Robert Downey Jr. is still cute as ever, and a totally awesome Iron Man.

We had brunch at ROC in TriBeCa.  The food was totally Italiano.  The potatoes were cooked down in tomato just like Grandma’s. 

Yoga in a store window.  I can totally relate to someone blissing out in a store window on busy downtown Broadway.

Having an iced chai at the Angelika. Going to catch up with phone calls, and then go shopping.

Glorious Mothers Day to All.

My daughter was my grandmother’s first great grandchild, and my father’s first grandchild, so that first week was a rush.

Actually I still get a rush whenever I think about my daughter.

I took the above with my phone’s camera on my way to the movies Sunday.

Some would say vandalism; I say Urban Art.

When I finally get around to making my bucket list, painting something on a wall or sidewalk is going to be on it.

Mmmm…this diet double fudge chocolate soda is the best. Seriously it can take the edge off better than a vodka martini with top shelf hooch and three fat olives.

What a week it has been so far. I am so looking forward to brunch with the ladies Sunday. After which I’ll have a photostroll, bit of shopping, and maybe a movie.

Speaking of movies, I Want to Live just started. This is a minimum three hankie film.
